Sick....blah!

Sick of being sick!
*Ben is sick with a hacking cough
*Mom is sick with a bad cold
*We are waiting to take baby Hannah to the Doctor's today since it appears she has pink eye and a cold and most likely an ear infection. She has kept us up the last 2 nights. Poor bugger.
We are getting sick frequently. What gives!? I guess is kids catch something it spreads like wildfire.

I really love how callings in the LDS church help us to grow. For example. I am currently the Relief Society Pianist (and working with the Activity Day's). I only took 4 years of piano lessons and I am really not that good. I don't even own a piano just a cheap keyboard. Well over the last few months I have seen a HUGE change in how I play the piano. I am getting better and more confident playing while others sing along.

I now have an additional calling to work with the 8 and 9 year old girls with Activity Day's. I went to the first activity yesterday. It was fun! What a sweet age to be at. Such sweet girls! It gives me a glimpse into Hannah's future and what a sweet girl she will become.

Just my thoughts for today.

vinyl chalkboard

I found this vinyl chalkboard at a store that sell's new/used kids clothes etc. Ben loves it! I might have to buy one for my kitchen. It would make a great place to leave reminder notes.

Friday Favorites

I hate touching raw meat so I use these disposable gloves, if I don't have any on hand (no pun) I use sandwich baggies to cover my hands.

7 Months

She is wonderful, awesome, cute, sweet, pretty, good sleeper, toothless, creeping around the house, eating new foods, adorable, happy.

Happy Birthday Mom! Here are some  facts about her:

~Her maiden name is Perry
~Her middle name is Faye (the same as her Mother's middle name)
~She is the oldest of 4 children (all girls)
~She graduated from Granite High
~She plays the piano well and has a nice singing voice too
~She reads the newspaper everyday
~She grew up on Elgin Avenue in Salt Lake
~She Loves Diet Coke
~She pins her hair up every night and has done this as long as I can remember. For some reason we called them her "rocket launchers" not sure why we came up with that as a kids, but funny
~She has 6 children
~She is going to retire from work here in a few years
~She loves trying new places to eat
~She loves watching CNN and the food net work on T.V.
~She loves the gospel of Jesus Christ
~She was once asked out by one of the Osmond's while she was working at the University of Utah but she was already married (Darn it I could have been an Osmond!)
~She has 7 grandchildren
~She has some health problems right now but we're getting them in line so she can be with us for many years to come.
~ I talk to her almost everyday. I am a momma's girl!
~She is very sweet and kind/ I love her!! Happy Birthday.

I first saw these adorable toys this past week at my sister-in-laws home. She has oodles and doodles of them. I had to get some for Hannah. I just bought a set a 6. They are hard to find. I had to buy them off of Amazon.

I want to buy these one because they just look too much fun. Okay I even enjoy them too.

short or long?

Please vote and tell me what I should do! I can't decide if I should grow my hair out or cut it short maybe even shorter than the picture shown above. What would you do if you had thick, wavy hair and you have to straighten it every day. If I wore it long I would probably where it in a pony tail everyday. Oh the choices and having no clue what to do. Maybe I should just grow it out it might be the best choice so I don't have to straighten it everyday, I could just throw it back in a pony tail :0)
